To encourage local SMEs to engage in innovation and R&D, the Taoyuan City Government has launched the Local Industry Innovation R&D Promotion Program (Local SBIR), covering fields such as electronics and ICT, consumer chemical products, metal and machinery, innovative services, food, and biotechnology & pharmaceuticals. After a rigorous review by an expert committee on innovation services, IRUAV Technology Co., Ltd.’s project — “High-Accuracy Solar Power Plant Inspection Information Platform Development Plan” — passed the evaluation and was awarded funding under the 2024 Taoyuan City Local SBIR Program. During the related meetings, Taoyuan Mayor Simon Chang emphasized that SBIR applications should integrate AI applications to maximize synergy. The city government also aims to help businesses advance in this direction through a “large leads small” strategy, creating more business opportunities. IRUAV Technology will follow this direction and continue to focus on advancing AI applications in thermal aerial inspection of solar power systems.
